Founded in 1969, ZIMEX AVIATION, based in Switzerland and holder of an EASA Air Operator Certificate, is active in the field of Special Mission Aviation, with aircraft operations in Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Since 2016, we have also operated European express freight services.
Our own EASA Part 145 maintenance organization ensures that scheduled and unscheduled maintenance is performed to the highest quality standards by our own engineers, who are an integral part of our crew.
For our global Line Maintenance Stations, we are looking for a
Line Maintenance Technician
* Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities and troubleshooting in full compliance with the specifications of relevant authorities, manufacturer’s recommendations, and applicable rules for aircraft and components.
* Ensure compliance with directives issued by the Line Maintenance Manager regarding personnel behavior, order, and security.
* Verify the availability of necessary working documents and maintenance manuals before work begins.
* Ensure all work is completed, paperwork signed, and technical documents correctly filled out before aircraft or components are delivered.
* Regularly inform the Line Station Manager and CAMO about the current work status and any issues, submit work reports, and release aircraft to service after each activity.
* Report unusual defects and occurrences during maintenance according to AMC 20-8 Regulation 2042/2003 into IQSMS.
* Maintain the station independently, organize spare parts storage, perform stock inventories, and support parts dispatch and receipt activities.
* Maintain tools and materials, track calibrated tools, and ensure cleanliness and safety at the station.
* Work independently in accordance with relevant rules and regulations.
* Be capable of functioning as an independent Field Service Engineer or Troubleshooter.
* Hold an apprenticeship as a mechanic or similar qualification, with additional training as an airplane mechanic (B1, B2, or CAT A).
* Possess aircraft type ratings for ATR72 / ATR42 and have at least 1 year of experience on these aircraft models.
* Have approximately 3 years of experience in base and/or line maintenance.
* Hold a valid car driving license and be capable of obtaining airport access authorization and reliability checks.
* Demonstrate multifunctional applicability, commercial thinking, and the ability to work independently with high reliability.
* Be willing to work on different aircraft types and components, and be licensed/certified accordingly.
* Be willing to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
* Work well in a team and be adaptable to shift work in Line Maintenance.
* Have a Covid-19 vaccination certificate.
