Ph3Purpose /h3 pThe HVA department, located in Cortaillod (Switzerland), provides accessories for extra high voltage applications for internal and external customers around the world. It is part of the Power Transmission (Pwr-T) Business Group, present on 3 continents, especially in France, Norway, and Belgium. /p pThe Quality Engineer is responsible for coordinating and ensuring quality and environmental compliance within the department. The role focuses on maintaining the highest standards of quality across all processes, products, and services, meeting customer expectations, industry standards, and internal requirements. The engineer also supports the alignment of the department’s quality system with site and Pwr-T business group standards, and consolidates and reports safety indicators, ensuring safety remains a core Nexans priority. /p h3Areas of responsibility /h3 h3Quality Engineering /h3 ul liMonitor and resolve quality issues, follow up on non-conformities, and track non-quality costs. /li liLead root cause analyses of internal process deviations and non-conformities, ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions. /li liDefine, monitor and report quality KPIs such as number of non-conformities, severity levels, defect rates, cost of poor quality. /li liAnalyze customer feedback to support technical improvements and enhance product performance. /li /ul h3Audits /h3 ul liCoordinate FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) with internal stakeholders and external clients, ensuring technical compliance and producing FAT reports. /li liPlan, participate, and conduct internal and external quality audits. /li /ul h3Quality Management System /h3 ul liEnsure that department procedures are up-to-date and update them as necessary. /li liPerform process confirmations and validations to maintain product and process integrity. /li liHarmonize the local quality system with that of the Pwr-T business group. /li liDevelop, standardize and maintain inspection and test plans (ITPs). /li liConduct regulatory and normative monitoring and ensure requirements are properly integrated into internal processes. /li /ul h3Environmental Analyses /h3 ul liConduct environmental compliance analyses for company products as REACH assessments, Ecopassport, etc. /li liEnsure liaison with the Group regarding updates to environmental regulations such as PFAS, REACH, and report environmental documentation and KPIs to the Group level. /li liPropose and implement initiatives aimed at reducing the environmental impact in the department. /li /ul h3Operational safety /h3 ul liConduct internal safety audits, safety walks, perform safety observations on workstations, conduct job desk analysis with operators. /li liEnsure monthly safety reviews with the factory, and weekly safety reporting. /li /ul h3Continuous improvement /h3 ul liContribute and/or lead continuous improvement projects. /li liImprove the automatization of customer certificates to increase efficiency and reduce errors. /li liSimplify and optimize the traceability process to ensure seamless tracking of products and components. /li /ul h3Required Skills Qualifications /h3 ul liUniversity degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Quality management, Environmental Science or a related technical field. /li li3-5 years of industry experience, ideally in a similar position. /li liExceptional data analysis ability, able to identify, confront, and resolve complex problems. /li liExperience using lean manufacturing / improvement tools such as 5S and problem-solving methods desirable. /li liKnowledge of SAP is a plus. /li liFluent in French and English. /li liIndependent and self-driven, with an ability to work within a team. /li liExcellent communication and interpersonal skills (oral and written) with ability to quickly build effective professional working relationships. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
