Job Title: Robotics Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Robotics Engineer to join our team.
* Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop robotic systems, end effectors, and remote manipulation tools for the CERN accelerator complex and experimental facilities.
2. Select, procure, and integrate standard and custom components, including actuators, sensors, and embedded control electronics.
3. Support the oversight of the construction, testing, and commissioning of robots and tools, ensuring performance and reliability.
4. Prepare remote intervention procedures, including 3D modeling of environments, simulation and sequencing of robot operations, failure mode analysis, and recovery scenarios.
5. Design, develop, and support mock-ups for acceptance testing.
6. Create and update technical documentation, test plans, and reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proficient knowledge of 3D drafting software (e.g., Inventor, Solidworks, or CATIA).
* Ability to prepare design presentations and calculation notes to be submitted to stakeholders.
* Experience with static and multibody dynamic finite element simulations.
* Spoken and written English, with a commitment to learn French.
