The Portfolio Management business unit is responsible for the strategic steering and portfolio management of private markets portfolios and separately managed accounts of Partners Group. We are now looking to add an exceptional Associate to our growing practice. You will be part of the Flagships Portfolio Management team which has a focus on Private Equity, Private Real Estate & Private Infrastructure and you have the following day-to-day responsibilities:
1. Portfolio implementation of Partners Group flagship programs and separately managed accounts
2. Support performance optimization initiatives across a range of investment programs
3. Support in creating bespoke portfolio proposals for existing and new clients, focusing on strategic asset allocation, investment returns/risk and cash flow modelling
4. Support with client acquisition and retention together with senior portfolio managers and client sales professionals
5. Operation and enhancement of proprietary private markets systems and models
6. Modelling and analysis of private markets data
7. Monitoring of credit facilities and respective covenants
8. Reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders

9. Bachelor's or Master's degree with strong academic background in a quantitative field, e.g. Finance, Economics, Accounting, STEM
10. Progression towards or completion of a professional qualification (e.g. CFA, CAIA) desirable but not a requirement
11. 3-6 years of professional work experience in asset management, banking, consulting or similar (prior experience with private equity, real estate or infrastructure is an advantage)
12. Understanding of a wide variety of investing styles across private markets and principles of portfolio construction
13. Understanding of private market fund structures and ability to implement them in quantitative models
14. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel (knowledge of Python/SQL is a plus)
15. Passion for numbers and quantitative analysis
16. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
17. Strong work ethic with a desire to learn and succeed
18. Attention to detail and ability to work error-free
19. Effective and reliable team player
