Ourmodities Trading team operates across both assurance and advisory services for clients active in trading of soft and hardmodities (metals, oil & gas, energy products, agricultural products). We support Finance, Risk, Trading and trading control functions in managing theplexity ofmodity risk, accountingpliance, and operational performance.
To strengthen our Geneva team, we are looking for a Senior Consultant with 3 to 5 years of experience, focused on providing both audit support and advisory services related to physicalmodity contracts, financial derivatives, and inventory valuation.
What you can expect from us - impactful responsibilities across audit and advisory:
Audit support as Subject Matter Expert :
1. Execute audit procedures over limited andplex areas (physicalmodity contracts, paper contracts, financial derivatives, inventories)
2. Perform technical accounting analyses related tomodity trading transactions
3. Knowledge of valuations of vanilla andplex derivatives
4. Conduct internal controls and process assessments formodity traders including creating risks & controls matrix, designing operational processes and automation
Advisory support:
5. Contribute to the design and review ofmodity risk management frameworks ( price risk, counterparty risk)
6. Support the implementation or optimization of CTRM systems
7. Analyze processes to identify optimization opportunities and implement measures in areas such as risk management/hedging, trade finance structuration, margining, bank & counterparty relationship management, financial reporting
8. Market Analysis: Assess the current and projectedmodity market conditions, including supply and demand dynamics, price trends, and influencing factors
9. Contribute to our go-to-market initiatives and support to organize events and write articles that highlight our expertise and insights in themodities trading and risk management domain
You bring with you - the profile for success:
10. A university degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline
11. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in audit, consulting,modity trading, or a financial services environment
12. Knowledge of IFRS standards related to derivatives, inventory, and revenue ( IFRS 9, IFRS 13, IFRS 15, IAS 2)
13. Strong analytical,munication, and organizational skills
14. A proactive, team-oriented mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
15. Fluency in English is required; French is a strong advantage
16. Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of audit or data tools is a plus
