Your role and responsibilities
As a Front-End Sales Engineer, it is your exciting task to implement our sales strategy and to distribute our products and solutions to customers in Switzerland. In close cooperation with our internal service, you consult and convince customers of the benefits of our high-performance products. In addition to looking after existing customers, you are also responsible for the acquisition of new clients. You will systematically conclude contracts with business partners and thus contribute to a sustainable increase in our company's market share.

This role is contributing to the ABB Motors & Drives division in Switzerland.
You will be mainly accountable for
* Leading project tendering activities by identifying, qualifying, and actively pursuing project opportunities; coordinating internal stakeholders (engineering, product management, and service) to deliver competitive and compliant technical and commercial proposals
* Influencing engineering companies and key decision-makers early in the project lifecycle to position ABB solutions as the preferred specification, ensuring alignment with customer technical requirements and long-term value propositions
* Building strong customer relationships by understanding needs and offering tailored ABB solutions, while leading technical and commercial contract negotiations
* Tracking market trends, identifying new opportunities, and managing sales processes and documentation, including account plans and SFDC reporting
Qualifications for the role
* University degree or diploma of higher education (TS/HF) in a technical field
* In-depth technical knowledge of motors, generators, drives, and services
* Demonstrated experience in the management of customer accounts and sales strategy with proven ability to develop and maintain customer relationships
* Market and customer knowledge are a plus
* A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills
* Availability for travel throughout Switzerland, but mainly in the German-speaking part
* Fluent in German and English, other languages are an advantage
