Ph3The opportunity /h3 pHitachi Energy is seeking an experienced and motivated RD Team Manager to lead our Next Generation Grids Transformers team in Geneva, Switzerland. /p pIn this role, you will manage a team of 5+ engineers and drive the development of advanced and innovative technologies, including medium frequency transformers and power electronics enhanced transformers. You will combine people leadership with strong technical guidance and project ownership, contributing to the execution of RD strategy in a global environment. /p h3How you’ll make an impact /h3 ul liLead, develop, and motivate an international RD team of 5+ engineers with know-how in medium frequency transformers, power converters and lab testing /li liProvide technical leadership and support the team in solving complex engineering challenges /li liContribute to RD strategy and technology direction, including development of roadmaps for the New Generation Grids Transformers product line /li liPlan, drive, and deliver RD projects, ensuring alignment with scope, timelines, and quality targets /li liCollaborate closely with global RD teams, engineering functions, and external partners /li liManage project resources and budgets to maximize impact and operational efficiency /li liSite RD laboratory and infrastructure responsibility, including driving expansion plans /li liIntroduce and implement new tools, technologies, and processes to improve performance /li /ul h3Your background /h3 ul liMaster’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field /li liSeveral years of industrial experience in product development, or technology management /li liStrong technical background in transformers and power converters /li liProven experience in project management within RD or product development /li liExperience in leading technical teams (line or project leadership) and working in international and cross-functional environments /li liStrong communication skills in English (French is a plus) as well as stakeholder engagement capabilities /li /ul h3More about us /h3 pYou will join a collaborative and international RD environment at the forefront of next-generation grid technologies.
