Job Description
DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Supply Chain Director, CEE & Trade, located in Diegem, Belgium or Zug, Switzerland or Amserfoort, Netherlands or Madrid, Spain or Walterovo Namesti, Czech Republic or Pomezia, Italy or Warsaw, Poland or Umkirch, Germany.
Role Overview
The Director, CEE & Trade Supply Chain is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end supply chain across a strategically critical EMEA market, encompassing CEE & Trade Markets.
The role carries full accountability for supply chain execution, asset deployment and utilization, customer service and operations, and reliable delivery to end customers.
A core member of the regional leadership team, the Supply Chain Leader translates business strategy into supply chain plans, delivers insights into demand and capacity dynamics, and ensures optimal cost‑to‑serve while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Own and lead the end‑to‑end supply chain across the CEE & Trade Markets, from demand shaping and asset strategy through to customer delivery and service execution.
* Provide functional leadership to in‑market Supply Chain Leaders, covering:
o Asset installation and utilization
o Customer service and operations
o Order fulfilment and delivery execution
* Ensure consistent, high‑performance supply chain standards across diverse markets and operating models.
Business Partnership & IBP Leadership
* Partner closely with the CEE & Trade Commercial Leaders and market leadership teams to:
o Understand business strategy, growth drivers, and market‑specific priorities
o Translate commercial ambition into executable supply chain plans
* Play a critical role in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) by:
o Providing insights into demand signals, capacity constraints, and risk/opportunity trade‑offs
o Shaping and challenging demand plans to support growth while protecting service and cost performance
* Act as a trusted advisor to commercial and regional leaders on supply chain implications of market decisions.
Asset Strategy, Growth & Enablement
* Lead cluster‑wide strategies for:
o Asset efficiency and utilization
o New asset installation and deployment planning
o New Product Introductions (NPIs) and other growth enablers
o Life cycle management within the portfolio
* Ensure capital and asset deployment decisions are aligned to demand evolution, customer needs, and long‑term business strategy.
* Drive standardization and best‑practice sharing across markets to accelerate time‑to‑value.
Cost Optimization & Service Excellence
* Lead initiatives to optimize the end‑to‑end cost‑to‑serve while maintaining or improving customer service levels.
* Identify structural cost improvement opportunities across logistics, operations, asset usage, and service models.
* Balance service, growth, and cost trade‑offs to deliver optimal outcomes for both customers and the enterprise.
Global Platform & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
* Partner with International and Global Supply Chain teams to:
o Drive improvements in collaboration, visibility, and execution
o Resolve systemic issues and remove recurring constraints
o Influence global capabilities, tools, and standards based on regional needs
People Leadership & Capability Building
* Lead, coach, and develop in‑market supply chain leaders, building a strong, succession‑ready talent pipeline.
* Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus across the cluster.
* Drive engagement and alignment across geographically and culturally diverse teams.

Anticipated Base Pay Range
€119,200.00 - €204,355.00
