Welcome to DEKRA Arbeit. For a client of ours, we are currently looking for an Application Support Engineer in Zürich .
Your Role :
You will provide technical support for business-critical applications, ensuring high availability and performance
Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business teams to troubleshoot and resolve application-related incidents
You will monitor application health, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
Manage user requests, incident tickets, and problem resolution within agreed SLAs
Participate in application upgrades, patching, and deployment activities
Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing across the support team
Your Profile :
A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, with 3–5 years of experience in application support or a similar role
Solid experience in supporting enterprise applications and understanding of ITIL practices
Proficient in SQL for data analysis and issue investigation
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash is a plus
Experience working with monitoring tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus
Strong analytical and communication skills
Fluency in English and German
