The opportunity
Hitachi Energy's Real Estate Function supports & manages all properties globally, including portfolio management, site selection, workplace, facility maintenance & management, project delivery, and financials.
Join our team as a Procurement Specialist - Real Estate (Switzerland), responsible for the Source-to-Pay process. You will manage the end-to-end SCM process, from project initiation, supplier sourcing, procurement, contract execution, to goods/services receipt, project evaluation, and closure, optimizing costs, timelines, and quality for successful project outcomes.
How You'll Make An Impact
* Planning & Requirement gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, timeline, procurement needs, and quality standards.
* Supplier Sourcing & Prequalification: Conduct market research, evaluate suppliers, and ensure clear communication of expectations.
* Procurement Process: Manage the entire procure-to-pay process, including RFP/RFQ, bid evaluation, vendor creation, PR/PO issuance, receipt coordination, invoice matching, and payment processing.
* Contract monitoring and performance management: Oversee contract lifecycle from drafting and negotiation to closeout and evaluation.
* Finance: Track costs, communicate with vendors regarding invoicing.
* Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risks, report progress.
* Health, Safety, and Environment: Uphold high standards to ensure a safe working environment with necessary safety measures.
* Core Values: Embody safety and integrity, taking responsibility and caring for colleagues and the business.
Your background
* Bachelor’s degree in real estate, business administration, or related fields.
* At least 5 years of experience in Real Estate and/or facility management.
* Experience managing industrial property projects under various contractual models is advantageous.
* Strong background in project management, contract negotiation, and source-to-pay processes.
* Proficiency in MS-Office and SAP/Ariba.
* Excellent communication skills in English and German.
* Resilient, proactive, reliable, and a team player.
* Strong stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to adapt to change and stay updated on industry trends.
