About the vacancy:
The Peoples Manager will strengthen the Human Resources department by focusing on staff onboarding, payroll, benefits, engagement, and compliance. Working closely with the HR Manager and the board, this role involves implementing HR strategies aligned with company goals and improving HR processes. Collaboration with staff, managers, executives, and external partners (EOR, legal, compliance, payroll) is essential to foster a positive work environment and enhance company culture. Strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for a thriving workplace are required.
Job Description:
Job Title: Peoples Manager
Location: Worldwide (Remote)
Reports to: HR Manager
Employment: Full-time, open-ended, compliant with local labor laws
Responsibilities:
* Implement HR strategies in collaboration with the board and HR Manager, scaling HR policies as the company grows.
* Coordinate recruitment, including drafting job descriptions, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
* Facilitate onboarding, orientation, retention, offboarding, and turnover processes.
* Manage payroll, benefits, and premiums with external partners.
* Maintain staff records, PTO registry, and filing systems.
* Enhance company culture and employer branding through engagement and training programs.
* Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
* Research industry compensation trends and negotiate with payroll and EOR partners for cost efficiency.
* Support performance management and talent development initiatives.
* Draft HR policies, handbooks, scorecards, and organizational charts.
* Collaborate with Finance on labor expenses and internal payment processes.
Qualifications and Competencies:
* 3+ years of experience in a similar HR role.
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in HR, Business Administration, Management, or related fields.
* People-focused, with strong communication skills in English.
* Organized, proactive, and problem-solving abilities.
* Deep knowledge of labor compliance, payroll, performance management, and talent development.
* Analytical, adaptable, and experienced with HR systems and tools.
* Team-oriented, proactive, ambitious, and self-disciplined.
* Quick learner capable of executing changing business needs efficiently.
