JOB PURPOSE:
1.Direct Access Clients (DAC) business
* Monitoring of markets news flow and DACs positions, especially leveraged derivatives positions, proactive approach and engagement with DACs to generate flow.
* Attend to DAC client calls and meeting as required.
* Maintain updated marketing presentations of the DAC offering.
* Calculation of derivatives margin requirements based on approved leverage and netting authorized by the Bank and management of the margin calls.
* Advisory on FX & Precious metals markets based on technical analysis.
* Responsible for the reporting of the DAC activity on daily basis
2.Management of the trade flow
* Responsible for the best execution of the trades on multi asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, OTC derivatives, FX & Precious Metals, Deposits, Funds etc.) on behalf of Global Wealth clients (Discretionary Portfolio Management, Direct Access Clients, Advisory & Execution Only) across the MENA region and other international Markets as directed.
* Track and review market performance and information to maintain strong in-depth knowledge of relevant markets.
* Responsible for the dealing process: best execution across all asset classes, immediate booking of the transactions and proper post trade settlement.
* Responsible for all FAB Suisse trading counterparties and review relationships and pricing regularly.
3.e-Forex & CFDs electronic online platforms & apps
* Monitoring of orders status and execution to ensure timely and fair execution for the clients.
* Monitoring of the level of leverage to ensure proper risk management and prevent automated liquidation.
* Ensure good relationship with liquidity and technology provider (White label partner) to ensure best conditions for FAB Suisse clients.
* Responsible for the reporting of the revenues and major developments to Swiss Management on daily basis and to Swiss Investment Committee on monthly basis.
4.Management of the Treasury of the Bank
* Responsible for various Treasury tasks in Geneva:
* Cash management (avoid overdraft and negative interests charges, Overnight placement)
* Loan financing (Lombard, mortgage)
* Private Banking Fiduciaries and money market deposits
* Management of Regulatory counterparties treasury limits in line with Bank’s capital
* Management of short term liquidity and Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR)
* Management of the FX nostro exposures in line with approved limit
* Participation and contribution to the monthly ALCO
* Daily reporting to Swiss Management, Risk, Credit & Finance departments of short term liquidity strategy (O/N, Tbills), FX nostro exposures, End of day counterparty limits.
5.Compliance with internal & external rules
* Fully comply with all rules and regulations as set out by FINMA and other markets regulator in the markets operated in;
* Fully comply with FAB Trading Policy & Procedures, FAB Compliance Manual and all procedures related to DAC, e-Forex and Treasury management.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Counterparties:
* Provide trading in financial instruments such as bonds, equities, options, futures, FX derivatives contracts and funds.
* Ensure best execution, and efficient and prompt management of orders, the incumbent will need to minimize operational risks.
* Monitor/ensure the follow-up on open transactions and inform, when applicable, RM’s regarding the execution of orders. Maintaining a strong relationship with the middle office and front office.
* Maintain an open relationship with securities dealers.
* Maintain a good relationship with Relationship Managers and Investment Advisors and DPM, by supporting their efforts to enhance business, by dealing with them in a transparent manner on pricing of products and offerings.
* To keep abreast with the product knowledge and market intelligence.
* To ensure that all compliance and legal guidelines are adhered to and mitigation strategies followed in case of errors.
* Maintain a proper record keeping for trade activities.
* Cross sell and route as much trades as possible to other FAB Departments while following the best execution practice.
* Trading product: market orders execution + counter trade into systems where client portfolios are held (Avaloq);
* Treasury Management (cash Management, loan financing and PB fiduciaries). Developing treasury forecasting and overseeing cash management, operations to maximize risk adjusted while ensuring adequate liquidity.
Performance criteria
* Commission revenue generated by Direct Access clients
* RM’s feedback (quality of service)
* Quality of execution (minimization of operational risk)
* Minimization of Trade Errors
* Training other junior traders
* Liquidity, maturity mismatch, FX and interest rate limit breaches
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
* In-depth knowledge of the financial markets and financials tools.
* Professionally qualified with appropriate/related certifications.
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in trading or relevant experience.
* Proven record of success working in a highly-regulated, quality-focused environment with complex compliance and operational controls.
* Distinctively motivated; self-assured with broad-based analytic background; good team player but also able to work on own using initiative if required.
* Organized and able to multi-task, stress resistant.
* Strong client relationship skills with the ability to understand client internal and external investment needs and objectives.
* Language skills: fluent English and additional European languages or Arabic is an advantage.
* University level, or Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree with an emphasis on finance/economics or equivalent.
* Tools: PC proficiency and excellent knowledge of Bloomberg, Reuters and other trading platforms.
