Job Overview
The Accountant / Accounts Receivable is responsible for managing the school’s debtor-related financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, payment monitoring, financial reporting, and collaboration with internal departments. The role plays a crucial part in maintaining financial integrity and supporting the school’s administration in budgeting and audit processes.

* Liaison with the Förderverein (Friends of ISHR)
Qualifications
Requirements
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field OR
* Professional accounting certification (“Steuerfachangestellte”/Tax Assistant)
Experience
* Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or financial administration, preferably in Germany
* Experience with financial software (Fibunet or similar ERP systems)
Skills
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
* Strong organizational and time-management abilities
* High level of integrity and confidentiality
Languages
* Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
Work Environment
This position requires frequent interaction with teaching and non-teaching staff, families, external auditors, and financial partners. The role involves independent work as well as cross-departmental collaboration. It requires close and continuous collaboration with the Accounts Payable colleague to ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and completeness of all financial transactions and reports.
