Procurement expert - process improvement

The Purchasing Desk Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless purchase requisition and PO processing across the organization. Working closely with the Liberty Blume shared service centre, this position manages the operational help desk for purchasing-related issues, encompassing all business units.


Key Responsibilities:

* Oversight of purchase requisitions created by business units to ensure adherence to proper processes and approved vendors via the right buy-pay channel.
* Assistance to end-users with Vendor onboarding request issues or process questions, validated prior to action.
* System accuracy validation (lead times, pricing, catalog content, commodities, payment terms, pre-payment) to support smooth PR creation by business units.
* Provision of data on operational KPIs (delivery reliability, PO cycle times, supplier responsiveness, Spend data, Invoice data, vendor Master data).
* Education of business units on the correct process to be applied in compliance with the Spend Policy, as well as flagging and reporting repeat non-compliance cases within weekly reporting.


Requirements:

* At least 5 years of relevant purchasing experience, preferably gained through roles such as Purchasing Agent with progressive responsibility.
* Advanced qualifications are preferred, e.g., certified purchasing professional.
* Fluency in English and German.
* Experience of working with SAP S4Hana and ideally SAP Ariba technologies.
* Negotiation, Analytical, Relationship Management, Communication, Risk Management, Attention to Detail, Time & Project Management, Technology Proficiency, Decision-Making skills.
