Technical Writer (100%)
Your contribution
In this challenging and important role, you will be responsible for creating, managing, and maintaining technical documentation for Tecan products, tailored to end users, service, and production staff.
Responsibilities
* Create user documentation such as operating, service, and software manuals
* Create assembly plans and test procedures for product manufacturing
* Create and maintain content for specific audiences using an XML-based CMS (Schema ST4) and DTP software (Adobe FrameMaker)
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
* Implement documentation-relevant content from risk analyses
* Product photography and image editing
* Create technical illustrations from 2D and 3D data
* Write and edit texts in English and German
* Coordinate translation projects and manage terminology
Your background
We’re not just looking for hard skills: We’re looking for people who bring their passion and talent to work.
* Degree in a technical field and further training as a Technical Writer, or a degree focused on Technical Communication, or several years of experience as a Technical Writer
* At least 5 years of professional experience
* Proficient with common DTP, illustration, and image editing tools (FrameMaker, Photoshop, Illustrator)
* Professional experience with Schema ST4
* Skilled in using 3D illustration software (e.g., Creo Illustrate, 3DViaComposer, or similar)
* Excellent German (native speaker level) and English (C1) skills, both written and spoken fluency
* Able to collaborate with others to gather necessary information
* Capable of filtering relevant information and preparing audience-specific documentation that meets regulatory and company requirements
