Job Summary
B&A is looking for an SAP AM Analyst to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. This position is expected to provide expert advice to end users on existing financial processes and determine requirements for developing new financial processes. This position requires strong organization and communication skills and knowledge of SAP financial functional areas, especially the Asset Management (AM) module. This position will work directly with end users and Tier 3 to resolve production issues.

Responsibilities

* Analyze, configure, and optimize the SAP AM module to meet customer requirements.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand current and desired AM processes.
* Design and implement SAP AM system enhancements, ensuring integration with other SAP modules.
* Provide leadership and guidance to functional and technical personnel on AM-related initiatives.
* Support Tier 2/3 operations, including post-go-live production support and break/fix activities.
* Apply subject matter expertise to identify process improvements and system efficiencies.
* Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, testing, implementation, and post-production support.

Education And Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in a recognized technical, engineering, scientific, managerial, business, or other discipline related to area of expertise. An additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's Degree.
* Experience in designing/configuring business processes in SAP AM

Required Skills

* 10 or more years of SAP experience. Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more functional area/module, specifically in Asset Management (AM)
* Deep understanding of SAP AM configuration, business processes, and master data management
* Hands-on experience with SAP AM integration with other SAP modules (FI, CO, MM, PM, PS)
* Experience with SAP maintenance planning, work order processing, asset accounting, and lifecycle management
* Strong knowledge of DoD or Federal financial processes, including compliance requirements
* Experience performing post-go-live support, including break/fix, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution
* Strong knowledge of the SAP configuration and customization process
* Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior SAP functional or technical staff
* Experience gathering and analyzing user requirements and translating them into SAP solutions
* Solid understanding of SAP security, authorization, and user role management
* Experience documenting business processes, creating functional specifications, and validating system changes
* Proficiency in system testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
* Excellent communication skills for interfacing with end users, management, and technical teams
* Knowledge of Navy ERP or DoD ERP systems and IT architectures (preferred but strongly beneficial)
* Familiarity with SAP reporting tools, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
* Ability to support change management initiatives and provide end-user training on SAP AM functionality

Desired Skills

* 5 or more years of AM experience
* Knowledge of and experience with DoD and specifically Navy ERP
* Familiar with Navy and/or DoD IT architectures
* Experience in post go-live production support and break/fix
* Focus on customer service and responsiveness, with sound customer handling skills
* Experience in the software development lifecycle surrounding requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, documentation, test (unit, functional, integration, regression, stress, and user acceptance), implementation, and postproduction support of standard and custom business solutions SAP AM module (in a Tier 2 environment)

Security Clearance

* Must be eligible for a secret clearance
