Group People Data Steward
Job Context
In today's data-driven world, accurate and reliable people data is essential for informed decision-making. As a Group People Data Steward, you will champion data quality and governance, ensuring HR data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with relevant regulations. You will play a critical role in establishing and maintaining data standards, policies, and procedures, enabling the organization to leverage its people data effectively and ethically. You will be responsible for defining and implementing data governance frameworks, monitoring data quality, and collaborating with stakeholders across HR, IT, and other functions to ensure data integrity. Your work will directly contribute to the organization's ability to make sound decisions, comply with regulations, and optimize HR processes.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework for HR data, including data standards, policies, and procedures.
* Monitor HR data quality, identify issues, and develop and implement remediation plans including data cleansing, validation, and enrichment activities.
* Develop and maintain a data dictionary and metadata repository for HR data, ensuring that data elements are clearly defined and documented.
* Ensure HR data is managed in compliance with GDPR and internal policies.
* Collaborate with HR Operations, IT, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure data quality and governance.
* Develop and deliver training programs to increase HR data literacy and strengthen data entry excellence.
* Investigate and resolve data quality issues, working with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective actions.
* Conduct data audits and generate reports to monitor data quality and compliance.
* Animate a community of HR Privacy Representatives and HR Data Specialists, fostering engagement, knowledge sharing, and best practice adoption.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Information Management, Data Analysis, Business Administration).
* Proven experience in data governance, data quality management, or data stewardship.
* Strong understanding of Workday HR processes and data model.
* Knowledge of data governance frameworks and methodologies.
* Experience with data quality tools and techniques.
* Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR).
* Fluent in English; French is an asset.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
