The CapEx Project Manager is responsible and accountable for the end-to-end delivery of local capital expenditure projects within the Bulk and Fractionation area. The role covers the full project lifecycle—from feasibility and conceptual planning through execution, commissioning, qualification, and validation—ensuring alignment with global engineering standards, cGxP requirements, and business objectives. The position operates within the Global Engineering & Project Delivery (ENG/PD) organization and collaborates closely with manufacturing, quality, EHS, procurement, and external engineering partners.

Tasks:
* Lead and manage mid-sized CapEx projects (feasibility, design, execution, qualification/validation) in the Bulk and Fractionation domain.
* Ensure project delivery in accordance with scope, budget, timelines, and quality standards.
* Oversee engineering design, construction, installation, commissioning, and qualification activities.
* Manage project governance, reporting, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
* Ensure compliance with cGxP, safety, and internal engineering standards throughout the project lifecycle.
* Coordinate external engineering firms, contractors, and equipment suppliers, including contract management and performance oversight.
* Drive project controlling activities, including cost tracking, forecasting, and change management.
* Conduct technical assessments and provide engineering expertise for process and infrastructure projects.
* Ensure proper documentation, handover, and integration into operational and maintenance organizations.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the ENG/PD project delivery framework.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Process, or Chemical Engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc., Dipl.-Ing., or equivalent).
* 5+ years of proven project management and leadership experience in mid-sized CapEx projects with high complexity.
* Strong background in the chemical, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry.
* Demonstrated experience in process and infrastructure engineering.
* Solid understanding of cGxP requirements and qualification/validation processes.
* Proven skills in contract management, vendor management, and project controlling.
* Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams or engineering departments.
* Fluent German and English (written and spoken).
