Job Description:
As the Tax Manager for the EMEA Region, you act as the expert for all indirect tax (VAT, sales tax, customs) related matters. You provide indirect and direct tax support & advice to all subsidiaries as well as ensure overall VAT and sales tax compliance.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage the accurate and timely filing of tax returns in the EMEA region, such as Current Income Tax, Withholding Tax and other relevant taxes.
* Partner with internal stakeholders, such as finance, legal and business units to provide tax advice and support on various business activities, transactions, and projects.
* Support and review tax accounting process during quarter and year end.
* Identify and assess tax risks and opportunities, develop strategies to mitigate risks and effectively manage potential impacts. Create and implement tax planning strategies that minimize tax obligations while ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations throughout the EMEA region.
* Oversee tax audits and disputes initiated by tax authorities in the EMEA region, responding to inquiries, providing necessary documentation, and negotiating settlements when required.
* Accurately record and control all tax liabilities in the EMEA region, actively managing tax cash positions.
* Ensure Transfer Pricing documentation meets local regulatory requirements and aligns with Global TP manager.
* Foster and maintain relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.
Profile:
* Master or bachelor’s in finance/Accounting or Law. In addition, having a special tax education or is about to obtain such a specialization (i.e. certified tax expert) would be beneficial.
* Minimum 5+ years of working experience in the area of tax.
* Fluency in English.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Leadership and project management skills.
* Experience working in a multinational company or professional service or advisory firm proficiency in additional languages spoken within the EMEA region (nice to have – i.e. Spanish, German).

This is permanent and full‑time position to be based in Europe, preferable located in the Frankfurt area or in Pratteln, Switzerland. This position reports into Head of Group Tax.
