Your Future Role
With 140 years of Swiss railway history, our Zurich site combines modern solutions for green mobility. Serving as a global competence center for high-performance traction technology and a development hub for locomotives, bogies, mechanical and electrical systems, as well as services, our team of 300 colleagues covers local and global markets. Our Services portfolio offers solutions to maximize the value of customer assets, covering the entire lifecycle from design and build to operation and end of life. You will report to Alessandro Sigrist, Head of Services Tenders & Business Development, working alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.
We’ll look for you to:
* Identify and develop sales opportunities within our Services Portfolio, including Modernizations, Innovations, Maintenance, Spare Parts, and Repairs
* Promote our internally developed second source solutions such as brake discs/pads, dampers, traction solutions, etc.
* Increase Parts & Overhaul business with our Competence Service Centers in Europe
* Manage the Swiss market intelligence database in Salesforce and create visibility on upcoming business opportunities
* Drive business opportunities during the Business Development & Pre-tendering stages and develop compelling tender strategies
* Understand customer problems and claims, resolve them, and pave the way for future business
* Represent our local Service activities through industry networking and communication
All About You
We value passion and attitude over experience. While you may not have every skill listed, we believe these qualities will help you succeed and grow in this role:
* A technical or engineering background to understand customer needs
* Relevant experience in Sales & Business Development to propose appropriate solutions
* Fluency in English and German; proficiency in French is an advantage
* Strong creativity, customer orientation, and agility
* Confident, extroverted, communicative, and persistent
* Willingness to travel up to 50%, mainly within Switzerland
