Senior Sales Executive – Trade Finance Technology for Financial Institutions:

Location: Remote (based in Geneva preferred, or within easy daily commute from European locations)

Industry: Fintech / Trade Finance Technology

Company: Secro is the tokenization vendor of choice of some of the largest technology consortia, banks and trading houses in the world. We are reducing the cost and risk of trade finance, through superior technology and the highest compliance standards.

Seniority and Reporting Line: Reports directly into the CEO; title seniority will be based on experience and gravitas (VP, Sr Director, Director are possible options).

About the Role:

We are a fast-growing stealth company pioneering the tokenization of trade finance processes for leading global banks and trading consortia. To support our accelerated growth, we are seeking a Senior Sales Executive with deep experience in commodities trading and a proven track record in selling sophisticated technology solutions to senior banking leaders, specifically in Switzerland. Experience from oil and energy, metals and concentrates, ores, or coal trading would be a plus.

You will be tasked with identifying, engaging, and converting senior decision-makers within trading houses, focusing on CFO-office, Head of Trading, Chief Risk Officer levels. This role offers competitive compensation and a unique opportunity to shape the future of trade finance through cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities:

* Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a 30-60-90-day and 1-year sales plan targeting major trade finance banks.
* Client Engagement: Identify, engage, and nurture relationships with senior decision-makers (CFOs, Chief Risk Officers, Heads of Trade Finance).
* Sophisticated Selling Approach: Adapt your sales tactics to various stakeholders within banking organizations, understanding their unique priorities and pain points.
* Technology Expertise: Articulate the value of tokenization and advanced technology solutions in the trade finance context (you will be trained on our product and technology, but it is essential to be technology-oriented and possess the basics of SaaS, cloud computing, cloud security terminology, and key concepts).
* Resilience & Persistence: Drive long-cycle sales engagements with determination and follow-through.
* Collaboration: Work closely with product and technical teams to ensure client needs are understood and addressed.

Requirements:

Experience:

* 7+ years of experience in trade finance, trading, or a combination of both, with a track record at one or more trading houses in Switzerland.
* Proven success in selling sophisticated technology products to senior banking personas.
* Deep understanding of trade and trade finance documentary processes and technology-driven solutions.

Network:

* Apply only if you have a deep and broad network in the Geneva banking ecosystem that you can leverage.
* Strong sales acumen, with a methodical and strategic approach.
* Ability to develop tailored sales plans and execute against them.
* Exceptional communication skills; articulate and persuasive.
* Entrepreneurial mindset and self-motivation.
* Organized and able to navigate complex sales cycles.
* Resilient and tenacious in achieving sales goals.
