Job Description
Fedi is building an ecosystem where developers, businesses, and communities can create useful services and interfaces on top of the Fedi platform. This includes mini apps, progressive web apps (PWAs), and emerging agentic interfaces that interact with Fedi, Fedimint, and related services.
These ecosystem integrations are how Fedi becomes more useful in the real world. They can help users do practical things more easily inside or around the Fedi experience, whether that is accessing financial services, local commerce, community tools, communications, or other everyday use cases.
We’re looking for a Developer Ecosystem Lead to help grow that ecosystem into one of the most valuable parts of Fedi.
This role is responsible for identifying high-value opportunities, bringing strong builders and partners into the ecosystem, helping them launch successfully, and ensuring the ecosystem grows in a coherent, useful, and commercially sensible way. Mini apps are one part of that picture, but this role is broader than mini apps alone. It includes PWAs, agentic interfaces, and other ecosystem integrations that expand what people can do with Fedi.
This is a role for a strong operator and builder. You might spend the morning shaping an ecosystem plan with Product and Business Development, the afternoon helping a partner move through integration requirements, and the evening reviewing whether a developer incentive program or bounty structure is producing the right kind of activity.
You will be the directly responsible individual for the health and growth of the Fedi ecosystem: partner pipeline, developer engagement, launch quality, ecosystem coherence, and the programs that help integrations succeed.
Responsibilities
Ecosystem Strategy & Design
Implement and review the strategic vision for the Fedi ecosystem, including what kinds of integrations should exist, why they matter, and what should be prioritised first
Identify high-impact categories and use cases aligned with Fedi’s mission and the needs of real communities
Continuously assess ecosystem gaps, overlaps, redundancies, and opportunities for expansion
Ensure the ecosystem is not just growing in number, but growing in usefulness, quality, and coherence
Work closely with Product, Engineering, Growth, and Leadership to prioritise ecosystem investments and sequencing
Ecosystem Growth & Partner Development
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of ecosystem partners, builders, and companies across local, regional, and global markets
Source, vet, and onboard high-quality integrations, including mini apps, PWAs, and agentic interfaces
Prioritise integrations with genuine user value and strong long‑term potential over sheer volume
Develop and manage relationships with founders, developers, and strategic partners to help them launch and grow successfully within the Fedi ecosystem
Negotiate practical, win‑win commercial and partnership arrangements where appropriate
Developer Programs & Builder Activation
Design and run programs that encourage developers and teams to build on Fedi, including hackathons, bounties, grants, challenges, and other incentive structures
Create repeatable ways to attract, support, and retain high‑quality builders in the ecosystem
Run ecosystem‑focused events, campaigns, and other initiatives that increase participation and surface promising new integrations
Help ensure these programs generate useful output and meaningful follow‑through, not just activity for its own sake
Product & Integration Enablement
Work with Product and Engineering to improve the builder journey across onboarding, integration, testing, launch, and maintenance
Help shape the roadmap for ecosystem enablement, including APIs, SDKs, documentation, workflows, and developer‑facing tooling
Advocate for improvements to discovery, usability, reliability, and trust across the ecosystem
Help define what “good” looks like for ecosystem integrations, including standards for usefulness, user experience, performance, and quality
Regional & Community‑Led Ecosystem Development
Work with internal teams, community leads, and regional stakeholders to identify local needs and opportunities
Support the development of integrations that are especially relevant for specific communities, markets, or regions
Ensure ecosystem integrations are appropriate, usable, and effective for their target audiences
Help connect ecosystem development to real demand on the ground rather than abstract platform expansion
Monetisation & Commercial Strategy
Help design and evolve monetisation approaches for the ecosystem, such as revenue share models, incentives, or other commercial structures
Evaluate the commercial potential and strategic value of partnerships and ecosystem initiatives
Identify opportunities for sustainable revenue growth while preserving ecosystem quality and user trust
Ensure the ecosystem creates durable value for both Fedi and the builders participating in it
Quality, Reporting & Insight
Review integrations before launch for value, usability, and overall fit
Monitor ecosystem performance and work with internal teams and partners to resolve issues quickly
Track ecosystem KPIs such as partner pipeline health, launches, builder activity, adoption signals, and revenue contribution where applicable
Produce clear reporting and actionable insights to help Fedi make better decisions about ecosystem direction and investment
What Success Looks Like in the First 6–12 Months
A meaningful number of strong new integrations have been onboarded across mini apps and PWAs
Fedi has run credible ecosystem‑building programs such as hackathons, bounties, builder events, or similar initiatives
New incentive structures have been introduced and are generating useful participation from developers and partners
The ecosystem pipeline is stronger, clearer, and more disciplined than before
Internal teams have better visibility into ecosystem opportunities, gaps, and progress
The overall ecosystem feels more intentional, better supported, and more likely to produce durable value
Requirements
Experience in developer ecosystems, platform growth, partnerships, marketplace development, technical sales, product ecosystem roles, or a closely related field
Proven ability to help build, launch, or scale an ecosystem, partner network, developer program, or platform‑based initiative
Experienced and comfortable using modern AI tools, beyond basic chatbots, to improve productivity, research, communication, workflow design, and ecosystem operations
Experience running developer incentive programs, hackathons, bounties, grants, or ecosystem growth initiatives
Strong operator with experience driving cross‑functional work across product, partnerships, and go‑to‑market teams
Comfortable working with APIs, SDKs, web or app integrations, and technical acceptance criteria; you do not need to be an engineer, but you should be able to work effectively with technical teams
Able to engage credibly with developers and builders, while also being commercially minded and strong with external partners
Strong commercial judgement, including experience with incentives, partnership structures, revenue‑sharing, or similar models
Analytical and structured, with the ability to manage pipeline, reporting, dashboards, prioritisation, and executive communication
Able to communicate effectively across a range of audiences, including senior executives, customers, partners, and developers
Willing to travel internationally to support ecosystem development, launches, and partner relationships
Strong alignment with Fedi’s mission and interest in enabling local innovation that serves real communities
Preferred
Experience in Bitcoin, fintech, telecoms, developer platforms, or adjacent sectors
Familiarity with privacy‑respecting product design principles
Working knowledge of Bitcoin and Lightning
