We are seeking an experienced professional to develop and execute trading strategies in European spot gas markets.
Key Responsibilities
* Trading Strategy Development: Develop and execute trading strategies in European spot gas markets, leveraging advanced analytics, models, and data tools to support trading decisions and forecast market movements.
* Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and price drivers to identify trading opportunities and optimize forward gas portfolios.
* Hedging and Risk Management: Manage hedging activities and structured products linked to gas market dynamics, staying updated on regulatory and policy changes impacting gas markets.
* Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with origination, risk management, and analytics teams to align trading strategies with company objectives, maintaining and building relationships with market participants, including exchanges, brokers, and clients.
Requirements
* Quantitative Background: Degree in a quantitative discipline and initial experience in spot gas trading, with a good understanding of European gas markets and their interconnection with power markets.
* Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing gas market fundamentals, supply-demand dynamics, and geopolitical influences, with advanced quantitative and analytical skills.
* Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with trading platforms and exchanges such as ICE, PEGAS, or similar, and proficiency in Python, R, or other relevant programming languages.
* Risk Management: Strong risk management skills and the ability to operate within defined risk limits, with excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with internal and external stakeholders.
