Brand Manager CHAT (German-speaking)
Our client is a pioneer in Drug Discovery and Development and one of the frontrunners in Personalised Healthcare. As the world’s largest R&D spender in the pharmaceutical and diagnostics domain, they work in a vast number of drug discovery & therapeutic areas and are highly recognized internationally.
We are currently looking for a Brand Manager for a contract position till end of January 2027 in Basel area, Switzerland.
The Brand Manager CHAT will be a marketing professional with several years of product marketing experience, ideally in the area of neuroscience, psychiatry and/or sleep. They must speak German fluently. Experience and knowledge of the Swiss and Austrian markets are preferred. The successful candidate will have the agility to operate in a dynamic and science-driven environment.
Reporting to the Senior Marketing Director DACH, the Brand Manager will be responsible for the preparation/execution of sales materials, advertising campaigns, congresses and educational events, among other things. This includes the management of vendors.
Main Responsibilities
Supports the local delivery of the marketing programs and initiatives as per the strategic and operational plan, including digital initiatives to create comprehensive omnichannel customer engagement
Is responsible for the marketing budget for the products under his / her responsibility in the country
Works effectively with field-based staff (sales reps), responsible for training them on strategy, materials and other product-related capabilities as well as providing support for local programs and initiatives
Manages external vendors / agencies and leads day-to-day operational projects
Ensures key performance metrics are in place, tracking and reporting KPIs to enable adherence to and tracking of local marketing budget
Tracks budget and acts upon performance metrics to increase marketing effectiveness
Ensures that all marketing activities are in line with regulatory, compliance and legal requirements, helps set up and monitor governance processes
Initializes and evaluates market research, market conditions, and competitor's data, extracting and implementing country-specific insights into the local marketing plan
Builds sustainable relationships with thought leaders and professional societies
Ensure cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Sales and other functions at the affiliate level as well as with the EUCAN region
Ensure adherence to all relevant legal, regulatory, and healthcare compliance requirements, corporate policies, and procedures, and drive this culture in the local organization
Qualifications and Experience
Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
University degree and scientific background preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical marketing
Knowledge of the Swiss and/or Austrian market
Experience in neuroscience or psychiatry desirable
Analytical skills coupled with creativity and a well-structured working approach
Excellent planning and project management skills with the willingness to drive projects
Team player
Strong in communication and presentations
Fluency in German and English language
Experience in office based specialty care is a clear plus
Digitally savvy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
