PbIT Infrastructure and Support Engineer - Zurich - 6 Month Contract (On-Site) /bbr/ br/ This is an initial 6 month contract that is part time (3 days a week with occasional full weeks to cover absences)br/There is no remote option available - the successful candidate needs to be in the office every day.br/br/The role is to join a global insurance business who are looking to add a temporary resource to support the IT Infrastructure / Support and Operations centre through the general day to day running of the IT function.br/br/More information on the key responsibilities and the technical skill sets needed is below:br/ /pppbKey Responsibilities: /b /p /plibTechnical Support Maintenance: /b Respond to technical requests, install, configure, diagnose, repair, patch, and upgrade IT hardware and systems to ensure optimal performance. /lilibIssue Management: /b Track and manage requests through an ITSM platform, driving issues to resolution and escalating to second and third-line support teams as necessary. /lilibMonitoring Reporting: /b Monitor global systems, networks, virtualised platforms, and applications for operational health, resolving issues and escalating when required. /lilibOut-of-Hours Support: /b Provide essential out-of-hours emergency support as part of a global on-call rota. /lilibApplication Management: /b Create and deploy Windows application packages and manage monthly patch deployments via automated systems. /lilibUser Training Onboarding: /b Lead staff onboarding processes, conducting system inductions and ongoing user training as new systems are deployed. /lilibData Center Operations: /b Oversee local data center operations, coordinating with vendors and ensuring compliance with change control procedures. /lilibSecurity Vulnerability Management: /b Work with the IT Security team to ensure compliance with security policies and assist with vulnerability management and patching. /lilibProject Support: /b Assist in infrastructure projects, ensuring smooth transitions from deployment to operational handover. /lippbIdeal experience / background: /b /p /pli3+ years of experience supporting multi-vendor environments, ideally Linux, VMware, and Microsoft products. /liliStrong experience with Microsoft operating systems and applications, including Windows 10/11, Server 2012/2016/2019, Office 365, and Intune. /liliSolid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and PowerShell. /liliExperience with virtualization platforms like Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop and VMware vSphere. /liliHands-on experience with collaboration tools such as Office 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive. /liliStrong customer service skills, excellent communication (both verbal and written), and the ability to work effectively across teams. /liliMicrosoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE) are advantageous. /liliCCNA or equivalent networking certifications are a plus /liliExperience in automation and scripting with languages like Python or PowerShell is a plus. /lipTo apply for this role, please send your CV or call Ric Marshall at Oliver James for more information.br/br/bIT Infrastructure and Support Engineer - Zurich - 6 Month Contract (On-Site) /bbr/ /p
