Education Manager for Student Projects
This is a unique opportunity to manage and develop educational programs for students, focusing on science and physics education.
We are seeking an experienced educator with a strong background in science education to join our team as an Education Manager for Student Projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing various educational programs for students, including the Beamline for Schools competition and the Hands-On Physics project.
The ideal candidate should have experience in communicating science to diverse audiences, including young learners aged 5-19 years. A working knowledge of English or French is also required. The role involves traveling and staying away from home for extended periods, so flexibility and adaptability are essential.
The main responsibilities include:
* Coordinating the Beamline for Schools competition, including overall organization and logistics
* Managing CERN's contribution to the Hands-On Physics project, incorporating learnings from its pilot phase
* Evaluating past and present programs for school students to contribute to Physics Education Research within the team
* Developing future school student programs
* Contributing to the Open Science initiative at CERN
