Description: The Digital Trade Compliance Analyst supports global trade operations by managing customs classification, controlled substances regulations, and chemical trade controls while leveraging digital systems and data analytics to ensure regulatory compliance across international markets.
Accountabilities
Supports HS classification management of chemical products
Supports controlled substance management
Works with internal databases and effectively uses available IT tools to analyze data and create reports
Supports implementation of digital trade compliance tools, automation and artificial intelligence
Interacts with different geographical and cross-functional teams
Supports internal projects
Qualifications
Required:
Knowledge of chemical structures and the language of chemical nomenclature (e.g., Bachelor’s in chemistry) is a must
Proficiency in Excel and database management
Fluency in English is essential
Preferred:
Understanding of World Customs Organization’s classification principles (HS/HTS system)
Basic programming skills and ability to develop basic scripts and automation tools to streamline compliance processes
Experience in agrochemical, pharmaceutical, or chemical industry
German language skills are very welcome
