A dynamic and familial Trust is looking for a new Trust Accountant in Geneva.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare financial statements for companies and trusts for audit or direct submission to clients and regulators.
2. Manage client accounting and participate in client meetings, explaining accounting matters clearly.
3. Supervise Bookkeeping and provid technical guidance and support.
4. Resolve accounting discrepancies with Trust Managers, clients, and advisors.
5. Prepare ad-hoc cash flow reports, financial projections, and periodic reporting.
6. Process finalisation journals into accounting records.
Profile:
7. ACCA qualification or equivalent.
8. 1 to 3 years of experience in offshore trust & company accounting; experience with Swiss accounting is a plus.
9. Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, foreign currency accounting, and accounting systems.
10. Understanding of Trust and Company Law, UK tax-related matters, and best practices.
11. Excellent communication skills in English (French is a plus).
12. Proficiency in accounting software and strong spreadsheet skills.
13. Ability to prepare accounts for various structures (property, investment, etc.).
14. Client-oriented, autonomous, and able to work in a team.
