In Switzerland, we work with 300 experts in Life Sciences who support our customers on their various projects in the French-speaking and German-speaking parts of the country. With our three agencies in Geneva, Lausanne and Basel.
To strengthen our team in Switzerland, we are looking for a Mechanical Development Test Engineer, German speaker, (M/F/X) to start as soon as possible.
ABOUT THE JOB:
In this role, you will be responsible for testing, validating, and optimizing mechanical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory and performance standards.
* Develop and execute mechanical testing protocols for assembly line equipment and systems.
* Perform commissioning and qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ) activities to ensure equipment meets design and regulatory requirements.
* Conduct functional and performance tests on mechanical systems to validate their reliability and efficiency.
Equipment Development and Troubleshooting:
* Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop and refine assembly line equipment.
* Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues during testing and validation phases.
* Propose and implement design modifications to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
* Collect and analyze test data to assess equipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
* Prepare detailed test reports, validation documentation, and technical summaries.
* Document deviations and non-conformances, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
* Ensure all testing and validation activities comply with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
* Support internal and external audits related to equipment testing and validation.
* Maintain thorough documentation to ensure traceability and compliance.
Collaboration and Support:
* Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and R&D teams to ensure smooth project execution.
* Provide training and technical support to operators and maintenance teams on validated equipment.
* Act as a technical liaison between design, testing, and production teams.
ABOUT YOU:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
* Proven experience (3+ years) in mechanical testing, validation, or development engineering, preferably in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
* Hands-on experience with commissioning and qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ) of manufacturing equipment.
* Familiarity with medical device assembly processes and regulatory requirements.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, testing methodologies, and validation processes.
* Experience with test equipment and instrumentation for mechanical systems.
* Fluency in English and German required.
