The Market Manager Railway is responsible for growing the business in defined global markets by developing and adapting key strategies and monitoring progress. This role involves conducting market research, competitive analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth and increase market share.

Systematically determine and analyze the actual and future requirements of target customers, as well as the market potential of the current and future product portfolio.
Understand the value propositions of competitors and their development trends.
Identify and develop new business opportunities and applications, including engaging with customers early in the process.
Partner with Sales to diversify within key customers.
Understand the business environment, including customer needs, competition, supply chain, technology, applications, and market disruptions, and initiate the development of new products, applications, and services accordingly.
Define requirements for new products and services in collaboration with Product Management.
Suggest adjustments to existing products or customer relationships as needed.
Collect and analyze market intelligence to understand the competitive landscape.
Interpret current and future technologies used in the market and by target customers.
Contribute to the development, implementation, and communication of the segment's strategy.
Support the development of the Business Plan.
Define the complete market offering for today and tomorrow, including creating business cases.
Develop and support go-to-market strategies jointly with Sales.
Determine positioning and value pricing of new solutions in collaboration with Technology & Sales.
Support segment marketing communications, including budget management, exhibition selection, and sales support materials, aligning with other product-related marketing activities.
Enable sales teams with knowledge about new applications and market trends.
Assess risks and potentials associated with business opportunities.
Lead and support partnerships, joint ventures, and M&A activities.
Support engineering in early product and solution concepts within Business Development, working with the Solutions Engineering team.
Identify local success stories and prepare them for global dissemination.
Prepare newly developed businesses for structured hand-over to Sales for multiplication.
Follow processes outlined by the Global Management System and contribute to process improvements.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably EE or ME.
Proven industry and product knowledge.
Good understanding of LF, RF, and FO technologies.
Global management skills with a customer-oriented approach.
Strong leadership, negotiation, networking, presentation, communication, and motivational skills.
In-depth market-specific knowledge and understanding of future market requirements.

Support the business according to the 5-year business plan.
