Accounting Policy and Investments Leadership Opportunity
This life insurance carrier, recently capitalized by private equity and a large asset manager, is seeking a strong Accounting Policy professional to navigate the complex interactions between the insurance executive team and private equity investors. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in accounting research, technical writing, and U.S. GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles (STAT) as applied to various investment structures.
The Assistant Vice President, Accounting Policy and Investments will lead technical research, analysis, and documentation for the investment portfolio and financial instruments. This role requires collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, including Financial Reporting, Corporate Accounting, Actuarial, Legal, and Investments, to implement new accounting standards and address complex transactions.
The successful candidate will serve as a liaison with internal and external auditors to resolve technical accounting issues and navigate regulatory changes. A CPA or CFA certification is required.
