Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our global supply chain organization. As the Supply Chain Management Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximize efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness of our supply chain.
Key responsibilities include:
* Directing all regional supply & logistics policies, procedures, and activities to ensure optimal performance.
* Defining and implementing an OPPD Supply Chain Management strategy.
* Leading the supply chain in the region to ensure high customer focus & satisfaction, consistent performance of supply chain processes, and consistent implementation of improved supply chain strategies/concepts.
What You'll Do
1. Lead and develop a global supply chain organization.
2. Steer and lead regional management supply chain organization in close cooperation with Regional Presidents, Area Vice Presidents, and Global Division Presidents.
3. Active involvement and interface with key principals & customers.
4. Oversee and develop an international supply chain team in all OPPD regions globally.
5. Establish a long-term partner management program with small & medium enterprise logistic providers and warehouse providers.
Requirements
Qualifications
* University degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or related discipline.
* MBA preferred.
Experience
* Minimum 15 years of successfully managing a sophisticated, complex, and global Polymer Distribution supply chain management organization.
* Solid experience in managing a variety of transportation/logistical modes (water, rail, land) needed to deliver final products to the customer.
Skills
* International business experience required.
* Solid background in supply chain management expertise of a global organization.
* Good understanding of (transport-) logistics in a large-volume business.

This is a full-time position requiring travel around 30% of time. A good command of both oral and written local language and English is required. Good command of additional languages is beneficial.
