This role is a hybrid opportunity, requiring 3 days onsite at our corporate office in Rolle, CH.

Your Mission
As our Senior NGS Bioinformatician, you will lead data exploration efforts to address practical questions during product development. You will work with diverse datasets varying by gene panel, sample type, enrichment technology, sequencing platform, and more. Your work involves assessing NGS kit and chemistry performance, evaluating analytical accuracy, and conducting in-depth analyses that will influence product evolution, including proposing improvements to probe design, analytical tools, and pipeline architecture.
The Value You Bring
* Run SOPHiA GENETICS NGS pipelines in default mode
* Modify scripts/modules manually for research purposes
* Understand functions of each script/module in the pipeline
* Perform quality assessments and analytical performance evaluations on different chemicals or platforms
* Conduct data exploration to answer practical questions related to product feasibility
* Explore new technical/biological features (e.g., UMI diversity) and present insights
* Analyze datasets from collaborators and deliver timely exploration results
* Participate in discussions and present results to collaborators and at conferences
* Prepare and present NGS analysis results to clients and at workshops
Minimum Requirements
* At least 4 years post-Doctoral experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field; or PhD with relevant experience
* Extensive experience with targeted sequencing data analysis
* Hands-on NGS data analysis experience
* Experience with regulated medical device development is a plus
* Strong background in cancer cell biology is a plus
* Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; additional languages are an asset
