RBI owns four of the world's most prominent quick service restaurant brands – TIM HORTONS, BURGER KING, POPEYES, and FIREHOUSE SUBS. These brands operate independently and benefit from RBI's global scale, shared best practices, and the Restaurant Brands for Good framework focused on sustainable outcomes related to food, the planet, and people and communities.

Job Overview

The E-learning Instructional Design Manager supervises training and development programs that the APAC, LAC, and EMEA training teams create for restaurant employees and restaurant managers. The role also includes educating franchise trainers through workshops and webcasts on how to use the programs in their restaurants.

The responsibilities include best-in-class curriculum design of e-Learning courses, in-person workshops, paper-based support materials, and other media to train, recognize, and retain restaurant teams. Trainers conduct orientation sessions and arrange on-the-job training for new employees. These programs are designed to develop potential and current team members and managers and/or replace those leaving.

Your responsibilities

* Lead a team of 3 content designers to ensure training and operations processes are accurate in digital training and offline materials (e.g., guides, job aids).
* Ensure training content is reviewed and updated based on brand and operational changes.
* Partner with the platform team to ensure training program launches are implemented and embedded with local training activities within the markets.
* Ensure Franchise Training Managers know how to use the tools and materials to certify the training of all trainees (Basics, Position Training, Foundations and Workshops).
* Partner with regional operations teams to review operations results and identify training gaps that may impact restaurant-level performance.
* Visit high-volume markets to collaborate with their teams by developing a clear training plan to activate, monitor, and measure training results; share action plans with leadership to verify performance standards with a results-driven mindset.
* Consult with franchise training leaders to review succession plans for all restaurants to better understand gaps in management for future promotions.
* Organize and lead training workshops developed from Operations needs into a structured 12-month calendar to ensure successful rollout of each program; measure workshop results.
* Validate training metrics against brand and regional targets by using a dashboard to publish findings and identify areas for improvement.

Your skills and experience

* Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
* 4–8 years in L&D leadership roles, focusing on instructional design, training delivery, and program management.
* Experience with learning management systems; familiarity with the Docebo platform is a plus.
* Skilled in Articulate 360, Camtasia, Storyline, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
* Strong understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design models (ADDIE), and emerging digital learning trends.
* Previous experience in QSR or retail environments and regional roles is preferred.
* Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
* Willingness to travel across the EMEA region up to 20%.
* Availability to work on-site five days per week.
