Your Purpose
In line with current and future tourism trends, the Shore Excursions Product Development Manager oversees product content and delivery, negotiates costs, and develops new tours to grow revenue and enhance guest satisfaction in specific geographical regions.
Your Impact
* Lead the development of innovative shore excursion products and manage the tour program for assigned regions.
* Source and procure high‑quality excursions in line with seasonal demand and company standards.
* Monitor market trends, guest preferences, and potential risks to develop effective action and improvement plans.
* Analyze guest feedback and satisfaction scores to drive continuous product and service enhancements.
* Build and maintain relationships with up to 100 tour operators, overseeing a portfolio of 1,000+ tours.
* Negotiate contracts with suppliers, manage large‑scale bids, and optimize costs to ensure profitability and efficiency.
* Collaborate cross‑functionally with Legal, Insurance, and Operations teams to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
* Oversee product creation, feedback analysis, and product revamping to maintain competitive and engaging offerings.
* Ensure inventory accuracy and perform regular site inspections within assigned destinations.
* Represent the company at government meetings, industry events, and travel conventions to strengthen partnerships and brand presence.
Your Journey So Far
* 10 years of experience in the Shore Excursions Department within the cruise industry (either onboard or ashore) is preferred. Experience in shore excursion operations within the hospitality industry or with a global tour operator may also be considered.
* 5–10+ years of proven experience in global shore excursion operations is required, including product development, bid management, and cross‑functional collaboration with legal, insurance, and operations stakeholders.
* A bachelor’s degree in tourism and proficiency in multiple languages are highly preferred.
Your Essentials
* Flexibility and strong analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
* IT‑savvy; experience with Fidelio is highly advantageous.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher).
* Extensive knowledge of shore excursion products and operational delivery.
* Fluent in English with a good command of Italian; additional languages are an asset.
* Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
* Must hold an EU passport or have the legal right to work in Switzerland.
