JOB SUMMARY
To maintain a high standard of cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency within District facilities. This role serves as a key representative of the Ladue School District, ensuring an optimal physical environment that supports student learning and community engagement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintain high cleanliness standards for all buildings, restrooms, and grounds.
* Perform minor repairs, including lighting, plumbing, and ceiling tile replacement; report larger maintenance needs to the Building secretary for inclusion into the work order system.
* Perform snow and ice removal efforts as required.
* Maintain high-traffic areas like lunchrooms and recess zones.
* Perform crosswalk duties.
* Be the liaison between the day staff and night contract cleaning crew.
* Manage building access for staff and community groups, ensuring the premises are secured after use.
* Monitor stock levels for chemicals and supplies, initiating replenishment orders to prevent service gaps.
* Facilitate furniture setups for school events and oversee the distribution of mail and incoming shipments.
* Provide detailed shift hand-off reports and strictly follow OSHA standards, safety protocols, and District policies.
* Perform floor care as required.
* Assist staff on a daily basis with whatever duties are required.
* Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma or equivalency.
* Preference provided for prior experience in an educational setting.
COMPENSATION
* Range: $15.81/hour - $23.71/hour
* Experience Credit: Placement on range is based on relevant work experience.
* Benefits: This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position.
