About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Accounting (m/f/d) to join our Finance team in Lucerne. This role reports directly to the CFO and is responsible for leading the accounting function for all GC entities in Switzerland. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership skills and thrives in a dynamic, multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage accounting for all Swiss entities within the GC Group
* Lead and coach the accounting team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement
* Act as the primary contact for external auditors and ensure compliance with Swiss accounting regulations
* Prepare monthly reporting and closing processes
* Drive the budgeting process for single entities and support financial planning
* Implement and maintain accounting policies and internal controls
* Support CFO in strategic finance projects (M&A, BEPS, IAS)
* Prepare financial reports, analyze trends, and recommend actions
* Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in all financial transactions
Your Profile
* Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, including team leadership
* Solid knowledge of Swiss accounting regulations and financial reporting standards
* Experience with SAP S/4HANA is a plus
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
* Proficient in MS Office; meticulous and deadline-driven
* Open‑minded, collaborative, and able to work in a multicultural environment
