The opportunity
Join our team in Molinazzo di Monteggio, Switzerland as a Digitalization & Automation Engineer and support our factory's digital transformation by designing, developing, and implementing automation, digitalization, and data-driven improvement solutions.
How you'll make an impact
1. Analyze manufacturing and business processes to identify automation and digitalization opportunities
2. Design and implement solutions for process automation (industrial or office), digital workflows and paperless processes, as well as production data collection and analysis
3. Collaborate with Operations, IT, Quality, and Continuous Improvement teams to define functional and technical requirements
4. Develop and maintain KPI dashboards (OEE, productivity, quality, downtime) and data acquisition systems (PLC, sensors, MES)
5. Manage technology suppliers and system integrators
6. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and cybersecurity standards
7. Train end users and support change management activities
Your background
8. Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering (Automation, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electronics, or similar)
9. Solid understanding of control logic and process automation, operational process digitalization
10. Experience with MES, ERP, or traceability systems
11. Knowledge of Python, SQL, Power BI / Tableau, RPA tools (for example: Power Automate) and industrial IoT solutions
12. Experience with data analysis and reporting tools
13. Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
14. Technical English (written and spoken) and Italian at least intermediate
15. Familiarity of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and industrial automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA, IBA) is an advantage
