Job Description
EM suppliers’ quality management directly impacts the effectiveness and efficiency of SCAR process management, supplier selection and qualification, process change management, supplier performance monitoring and continuous improvement plans, critical supplier focus, global quality performance evaluation and development plans, supplier audits, and overall quality management strategy.
Responsibilities
Define supplier quality management strategy in close collaboration with Quality Management, Operations, and Business Units, ensuring its implementation, monitoring, and effective completion.
Ensure supplier quality agreements are established and reviewed in a timely manner.
Deploy EM and customer requirements effectively to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure SCAR management is effective: root cause analysis, CAPA effectiveness, and adequate response according to EM and customer requirements.
Collaborate with Operations, BUs, and Purchasing to assess, select, and qualify new suppliers and new articles; review and validate suppliers’ PPAP where applicable.
Collaborate with Operations, BUs, and Purchasing to review, assess, accept, and qualify supplier process changes.
Support risk assessment for supplier-related waiver requests and ensure proper monitoring to guarantee no impact on EM production and customers.
Define and deploy yearly targets for automotive grade and other relevant suppliers, foundries, and subcontractors.
Monitor and report supplier quality performance to management; analyze and drive continuous improvement projects based on top detractors.
Support Supplier Performance Re‑evaluation with the Supply Chain team to trigger supplier audits and development plans.
Own the supplier audit program in coordination with interested parties; VDA 6.3 methodology required for automotive grade suppliers.
Lead internal audit activities: risk assessment, prioritization, performing audits, reviewing and validating corrective actions, consolidating and reporting system gaps and opportunities to management, ensuring internal and external requirements are met.
Profile & Qualifications
Engineering degree (Master preferred) in Electronics, Microelectronics, or Materials Engineering; 5‑10 years in a supplier quality organization.
Experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems.
Proficiency in automotive core tools: FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP.
Knowledge of industry standards such as AEC Q100, JEDEC, MIL‑883, etc.
Audit experience with VDA 6.3 and strong knowledge of ISO 19011; analytical skills and strong problem‑solving methods; statistical knowledge is a plus.
Knowledge of semiconductor product development and manufacturing processes/environments.
Project management skills.
