Overview
As a first-tier supplier to Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz, we are seeking a motivated and dedicated Scientific Communications Manager - Oncology for a temporary assignment of one year with the possibility of extension. In this role, you will plan and develop effective scientific communications based on data from Roche’s diagnostic studies. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to shape communication strategies and manage activities such as publications, while ensuring all work adheres to compliance standards. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker with exceptional English writing skills, a dynamic personality, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external experts.
Responsibilities
Establish and maintain Publication Strategies with cross-functional input and ensure timely execution of plans.
Lead cross-functional collaboration with scientific communications, organize and lead meetings, and develop content decks to ensure alignment of communication plans.
Manage the publication development process, including review and tracking of individual publications using the current publication management tool.
Ensure internal communications around published and presented publications; announcements and spotlight summaries.
Engage with external health care professionals and medical communication agencies.
Effectively manage and maximize impact with available resources.
Engage with medical experts and internal stakeholders, providing overarching scientific input and advice on the therapeutic area.
Participate in medical education events for healthcare professionals, and provide overarching scientific expertise on medical slide decks, unmet communication needs, and distilling scientific content for the appropriate target audience.
Must-Haves / Qualifications
Master’s or PhD/PharmD/MD in Biomedical Sciences (preferred).
Medical communications or publications management experience in diagnostics.
Strong project and stakeholder management skills and thorough knowledge of Good Publication Practice and ICMJE guidelines.
Minimum 1 year of experience in medical or scientific communications.
Experience in diagnostics.
Experience with strategic publication planning.
Understanding of the diagnostics industry and regulatory guidelines; ability to review, communicate, and implement Good Publication Practice standards; CMPP certification is an advantage.
Native-level English writing and editing skills.
Proven coaching and teaching abilities; creativity and problem-solving in complex team settings; strong stakeholder management skills.
Strategic mindset, attention to detail, and strong sense of responsibility.
Excellent communication and people skills; energetic, friendly, and dynamic personality.
