PpWe are looking for a caring, motivated, and proactive Care Team Leader to join our residential and nursing care teams. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced care professional who is passionate about delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care while supporting and leading others to achieve the very best outcomes for residents. /p pAs a Team Leader, you will lead shifts, support and guide care staff, and ensure residents receive safe, compassionate, and responsive care that promotes wellbeing, dignity, independence, and quality of life. You will play an important role in creating a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment for residents, relatives, colleagues, and visitors, while helping to maintain the high standards our services are known for. /p h3Shift Details /h3 ul liThe Care Team Leader role is worked on a rota basis and includes evening and weekend shifts. /li liAverage hours: 40.25 hours per week. /li liShift pattern: 2‑week rolling rota. /li liWeek 1: 4 days. /li liWeek 2: 3 days. /li liShift length: 12‑hour shifts (8–8). /li liIncludes some weekend working. /li /ul h3What You Will Be Doing /h3 ul liLeading and coordinating care staff during shifts to ensure excellent standards of care are consistently delivered. /li liSupporting residents with personal care and daily living activities in line with individual care plans and preferences. /li liPromoting residents’ physical, emotional, social, psychological, and spiritual wellbeing. /li liContributing to the development and review of care plans to ensure care remains person‑centred and responsive. /li liResponding promptly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and resident requests. /li liSupporting, mentoring, and motivating care staff to maintain a positive and professional team culture. /li liAssisting with staff induction, supervision, learning, and development, including agency staff where required. /li liMaintaining accurate records and ensuring effective communication with residents, relatives, colleagues, and healthcare professionals. /li liPromoting health, safety, safeguarding, and compliance with organisational policies and care regulations. /li liSupporting an excellent customer experience for all residents, families, and visitors. /li /ul h3Essential /h3 ul liQCF Level 3 in Health Social Care or equivalent. /li liExperience working within a care environment, including supervising staff within a care setting. /li liExperience supporting older people, including individuals living with dementia and physical disabilities. /li liUnderstanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and person‑centred care practices. /li liKnowledge of medication administration and CQC regulations/KLOEs. /li liStrong communication, leadership, and organisational skills. /li liAbility to manage challenging situations positively and work effectively under pressure. /li liGood IT skills, including the use of electronic care planning systems. /li liA flexible and compassionate approach to supporting residents’ needs. /li /ul h3Desirable /h3 ul liAssessor or Mentor qualification. /li liUnderstanding of Jewish values, culture, and traditions. /li /ul h3What We Offer /h3 ul liCompetitive salary and benefits package. /li liExcellent learning and development opportunities. /li liOngoing training and career progression. /li liSupportive leadership and team environment. /li liThe opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of older people and their families. /li /ul h3Why Join Us? /h3 pAt Jewish Care, you’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team where your contribution is truly valued.
