Software Engineer for Testing Infrastructure In our R&D group, we develop hearing solutions and services for hearing impaired people and hearing care professionals in the form of hearing instruments, accessories, web services, mobile applications and PC software. In a multidisciplinary team of electrical and software engineers, you will contribute to the maintenance of hardware components and software development of tools, including CI/CD pipelines. The developed components and tools are in use worldwide to support the entire lifecycle of all Sonova hearing instruments and products.
- Drive problem resolution for issues reported by SW developers on hardware components and software tools
- Develop software tools and custom hardware testing environment
- Ensure that the various teams in Sonova R&D can use hardware for effective firmware testing
- Coordinate the distribution of new hardware to various R&D teams globally
Your profile:
Must have:
- 5-10 years experience with custom hardware and measurement equipment
- Proven experience in debugging issues ranging from firmware bug reports down to hardware
- Knowledge of PCB schematic design, Python, Groovy for tests and test environment
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline
- Fluent in English
Plus :
- Experience in the context of embedded software development
- Experience with communication protocols and trace analysis
- Understanding of best practices and state-of-the-art in software development processes
- German language skills
