In this role, you will drive IT Controlling within the Tecan Group and support the IT management team in all financial matters. You will play a key part in implementing, promoting, and maintaining best‑in‑class IT General Controls (ITGC) strategy across the organization, ensuring operational excellence and compliance. Your expertise will also help build up SAP know‑how centrally, becoming a first‑line support for SAP users worldwide.
Responsibilities
 * Act as a SAP FICO business expert, supporting and advising key users on ERP business processes and technical issues.
 * Ensure business processes related to SAP are effective and up to standard.
 * Prepare and maintain training materials for Finance, Procurement, and Logistics communities, and deliver training as needed.
 * Set up and run project controlling, including cost analysis and milestone monitoring.
 * Provide financial advice and validate IT investment requests to ensure alignment with business objectives.
 * Supervise accounting activities for IT cost centres, ensuring timely and accurate bookings, accruals, and provisions.
 * Drive monthly, quarterly and annual closings, and ensure compliance with IFRS.
 * Lead and support budgeting and forecasting processes for IT functions and projects, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure consistency and reliability.
 * Ensure timely, high‑quality monthly reporting, analyse results, and propose corrective actions.
 * Define and maintain ITGC strategy, design relevant SOPs, and provide training and support across the organisation.
 * Conduct regular audits and collaborate with external auditors to ensure the highest standards of ITGC.
Your background

 * Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally complemented by a certified accountant, controller or similar qualification.
 * Have at least three years of experience in controlling within an industrial and international environment.
 * Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively across teams; German language skills are a valuable asset.
 * Bring strong IT skills, with hands‑on experience in S4, SAP BW, COGNOS, OneStream, and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
 * Have a strong interest in IT financial systems and enjoy working independently.
 * Your analytical skills are exceptional, and you are committed to delivering high‑quality results.
 * You are proactive, detail‑oriented, and thrive in a dynamic, international environment.
