The UCC IT Asset Manager (ITAM) provides expertise on the IT Asset Management lifecycle, focusing on Software Asset Management. The successful candidate will process software requests, perform regular license pooling/checks, and monitor the deployment and retirement of IT Assets (HW and SW). They will analyze large volumes of software entitlements in connection with deployment data, support IT and procurement teams in building licensing models, optimize license usage based on key drivers (e.g., number of transactions, users), and maintain effective license positions for various software publishers.
Furthermore, the IT Asset Manager will continuously improve the IT asset management process, with a focus on SW Asset Management, starting with a gap analysis between current processes and best practices, leading the implementation of improvements, and potentially deploying new tools.
Your Role Understand and practice key IT asset management concepts, with a strong focus on SW asset management
Support procurement by building new license models and negotiating software contracts
Perform IT asset management tasks during procurement, operation, and retirement phases to optimize IT spend
Take responsibility for internal and external software audits to ensure compliance and optimization
Ensure proper asset reporting, create dashboards for IT and Controlling functions, and ensure compliance with procurement, IT security, risk, and compliance procedures
Provide ad-hoc administrative support related to IT Asset Management as required
Lead process gap analyses to improve ITAM practices and implement new processes
Ensure excellent customer service and teamwork across organizations
Your Expertise Experience as an IT Asset Manager or in a similar role, with successful use of enterprise software asset management tools
Proven track record of designing and implementing robust IT (Software) Asset Management processes
Ability to compile data and metrics for data-driven decision making
Knowledge of SAM tools and technologies such as Flexera, ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or equivalent
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in German and English, with the ability to interact effectively with management at all levels
Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing diverse stakeholders
Bachelor's degree, advanced federal diploma, or vocational qualification in IT or Business Management
