Digital IC Design Lead - Hardware Accelerators
We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior Principal Digital IC Design Engineer to join a leading semiconductor technology company developing MCU/DSP systems and digital compute IP. This senior, permanent role offers flexible hybrid working in Switzerland and the opportunity to contribute to next-generation semiconductor products used in automotive, industrial, and energy applications.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Architect, specify, and develop digital control peripherals, MCU/DSP systems, and hardware accelerator IP.
* Lead RTL design, simulation, and benchmarking of compute IP blocks and subsystems.
* Collaborate with product integration teams to define requirements and ensure smooth IP integration into silicon.
* Drive improvements in design methodology, IP quality, and release processes, including DFMEA and timing/power design intent (SDC/UPF).
* Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across the digital compute team.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams including verification, implementation, and system architects to deliver high-quality silicon-ready IP.
What We’re Looking For
* 12+ years of experience in digital IC design, MCU/DSP architecture, or compute accelerator development.
* Strong understanding of timing constraints, power intent methodologies (SDC/UPF), and digital design quality processes.
* Experience across the RTL to GDSII flow (logic synthesis, place & route, STA, and power analysis).
* Proven ability to lead complex projects and mentor junior engineers.
* M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, VLSI, or related technical field.
* Additional experience with signal processing components, advanced verification methodologies (UVM), or French language skills is a plus.
