IMCD Switzerland, a subsidiary of the IMCD Group, employs a workforce of 65 employees at its headquarters in Zürich and at an additional location in Basel.
For the Food & Nutrition business unit at our Zürich location, we are looking for a:
Sales & Product Manager (f/m/d) 80-100%
Key Responsibilities:
* Build and maintain profitable business relationships with existing clients via phone or email in Switzerland
* Proactive sales approach and cold calling of smaller clients and business opportunities
* Work well with local customer service to ensure an excellent customer experience. Take responsibility for pricing to the customer
* Establish own annual budget in alignment with the European business unit and the local IMCD site
* Support, development and implement of the annual sales and marketing strategy for assigned product segments (LOB) and suppliers. Follow up on sales activities and ensure appropriate implementation of the strategy
* Acquire product know how for the assigned portfolio to support the client with technical challenges
* Maintain and grow the business as product manager of the assigned product portfolio
* Establish and maintain profitable business relationships with assigned suppliers
* Analyze and monitor supplier business performance and identify gaps against sales and margin budget
* Build a strong network within the IMCD group with relevant contacts (e.g. other product managers, technical team)
Key Qualifications:
* A master in food science or related field, along with experience in selling functional ingredients
* Fluent in German and English. Another language such as French or Italian is a plus
* At least 3-5 years of experience in food ingredients with marketing or sales responsibilities
* 'Hunter' mentality and willingness to grow the business and achieve challenging growth rates
* Good communication and “walk the talk”
* Willingness to drive and live digitalization in the company
* Strong business acumen and a commercial orientation, coupled with a good knowledge and understanding of the food ingredients business Entrepreneurship with a positive attitude to make a difference
* Curious, a quick learner, hands-on and an "anything goes" mentality. Working in a fast-paced environment and pay attention to detail
