The Human Resources Department has the main mission of ensuring the development of the institution's human capital in view of changing perspectives. It constantly seeks to innovate, challenge, and improve its processes while basing its work on the positive experience of employees. The HR policy of HUG is based on the development of skills and professional pathways aligned with institutional needs and focuses on the consideration of the person, work-life balance, and health and safety in the workplace. The position is within the Department of Women, Children, and Adolescents (DFEA), which has the mission of providing quality care tailored to the needs of women at every stage of their lives and to the health issues faced by newborns, children, and adolescents from birth to age 18. For many years, the Department of Women, Children, and Adolescents has continuously developed cutting-edge services and centers of expertise in several medical specialties. As an HR Deputy Manager, you will assist the HR Manager in his activities by managing cross-departmental activities and projects within the Department of Women, Children, and Adolescents. You will ensure the proper functioning of HR processes, in compliance with institutional HR policy and regulations. In a sector of approximately 400 people, you provide management with advice and support through HR procedures, applicable rules, tools, and their evolution. In close collaboration with an HR manager, you will be involved in the various stages of the employee life cycle (recruitment, mobility, departure). You have a strong team spirit, enjoy working in networks, and collaborating with different HR support services (recruitment management, mobility), to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in managing cross-departmental HR processes. You demonstrate rigor and a sense of responsibility in your management tasks. Under the supervision of your manager, you initiate innovative and tailored HR approaches aimed at developing the human capital of your sector. You advise employees throughout their professional journey as well as management on the evolution of competency needs. You contribute actively to the implementation of HR strategies aimed at evolving our tools in line with developments in the job market and institutional processes. You ensure the function of human resources is represented within permanent commissions, working groups, and cross-departmental projects. If necessary, you will replace the HR manager. You share the values of HUG, which you embody daily in your work. You have completed a university degree supplemented by diploma training in human resources management (e.g., Brevet, CAS, DAS, MAS) or hold a Master’s degree and have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar HR role where you have worked independently, or experience in project management will facilitate your onboarding. Knowledge of the hospital and/or public sector is also an advantage. You have a very good command of standard tools and have great oral and written communication skills, supporting your proven experience in handling contentious files. An organized and rigorous person, you are able to work independently and demonstrate versatility and adaptability. You know how to manage priorities and make decisions effectively, and with your quick thinking, you propose solutions adapted to needs while respecting current frameworks and the confidentiality inherent to the HR role. Flexible and possessing good interpersonal skills, you can develop harmonious relationships with your colleagues. You know how to handle conflicts with diplomacy while nurturing clear communication.
