About the Role:

The Account Director will oversee agency deliverables for key accounts in Switzerland at Audience Communication & Events. Your responsibilities go beyond project management (on-time and on-budget) as you'll also play a crucial role in deepening your understanding of our clients' business, fostering key client relationships, and actively identifying growth opportunities.

The ideal candidate has a passion for creativity, demonstrates solid business judgment, has exceptional project management and problem-solving skills, inspired strategic thinking, and a proven track record leading all types of deliverables in a fast-paced agency environment. Your entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative problem-solving skills will be key assets, especially having the knowledge of the latest communication and meetings & events industry changes and best practices to create meaningful change for our clients.

Responsibilities:

·Client Relationship Management - serve as the main contact for client requests, building and maintaining strong relationships with them. Become an expert in your client’s category and business challenges. Represent Audience and our values with clients, partners, and at industry events.

·Strategic Leadership – lead RFP and proposal development to provide strategic direction on your accounts by ensuring all the work aligns with the client’s business objectives and brief.Demonstrate thought leadership and strategic expertise, writing and delivering creative briefs with the strategist, where and when appropriate.

·Project Oversight - lead cross functional teams (creative, media, strategy and production) to deliver projects on time and within budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards.Manage the development of all client communications and presentations.Flawless production and project management oversight, being the process “expert” on the team always upholding the quality of the work.Foreseeing issues and problem solving appropriately. Ensure project learnings are captured and carried forward to future projects.

·Team leadership - mentor, guide and continuously train junior team members, ensuring accuracy with appropriate checks and balances.Provide on-going guidance to junior members across all departments and providing appropriate feedback to support their professional development.Know when to manage and when to escalate issues.

·Budget and Financial Management – Prepare and oversee budgets for client projects providing regular updates on financial and project milestones.Collaborate with the finance team, helping to develop financial acumen in the interest of both the agency and the client, tracking and monitoring hours and budgets to make sure projects stay on track and are delivered within budget. Lead account forecasting and ensure both account retention and revenue growth targets are met.

Skills and experience:

·You have 7+ years of account management experience with a proven track record of leading high-profile client accounts.

·Expert at storytelling and building impactful and influential strategy and creative concept presentations.

·You have strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and developing junior staff.

·Strong planning and organizational skills: time-management, working to critical paths, budgeting, delegating, facilitating meetings, multi-tasking, attention to detail, follow up, etc.

·You love and excel at building relationships and getting to know clients.

·You collaborate and guide the strategic goals of the agency and client’s business.

·You define business challenges and strive to be a category expert.

·You have a strong rapport with internal teams, fostering on going trust and collaboration.

·You have proven experience in building strong client relationships and driving account growth.

·You can direct and redirect when issues arise, maintaining a calm demeanour in the face of a challenge and know when to bring in senior leaders.

·You are an engaging presenter.

·You have strong organizational, written and oral communication skills and are professional, smart and well spoken.

·You are flexible with the ability to shift focus or direction on a dime and juggle multiple projects at a time.

·Native or professional level fluency in English is required; additional professional proficiency in other languages is a plus, especially German.

·Proficiency in digital ways of working using Microsoft365, SharePoint, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), CRM tools, G-suite and Google, Zoom, etc.
