Your tasks

• Development of mixed-signal electronics, FPGA/MPSoC firmware and real-time embedded software for fast measurement and beam feedback systems at PSI particle accelerators.
• Development of high-level software applications and graphical user interfaces for automated test, calibration and operation of the systems.
• Participation in the commissioning, daily operation, maintenance and upgrades of existing and new systems.
• Advanced performance studies of measurement and fast feedback systems at the PSI particle accelerators.

Your profile

• You are an engineer or physicist with several years of experience in the development of fast mixed‑signal electronics hardware, FPGA firmware (in VHDL/Verilog) and embedded software (in C/C++).
• Experience in RF technology, particle accelerator technology and theory, Python, and large-scale control systems is beneficial.
• You enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team of engineers, scientists and technicians. You have very good oral and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of German is beneficial.
