How Will You Make An Impact Reporting to the Controlling Distribution Director, in Cartier’s Finance Distribution team, this role will contribute to the overall Finance function by managing financial performance for specific Markets.
As the business link between the Cartier markets (Managing director, local financial controller) and the International Finance Direction, you will both challenge their performance to ensure alignment to Cartier’s strategy as well as support them in realizing their financial objectives.
You will also be managing one of the transversal P&L line items, such as Capex or Opex across the Maison.
This position is a short-term assignment for a maternity cover starting in May/June 2026 until December/January 2026.
Key Responsibilities Regional Controlling Provide a framework and challenging insight to the regional long-term financial planning (“Financial Dynamics”) and support in preparing the strategic business plan.
Ensure optimal resource allocation for working capital in line with the development strategy of the Maison, highlighting potential risks and opportunities for management, e.g. boutique investment requests.
Support in identify areas for cost savings and assist the regional management in looking for efficiency improvement in operations.
Financial Planning, Performance Reporting and Analysis Support the coordination of the regional budgeting and monthly forecasting process according to guidelines from the Maison HQ and Group Finance.
Monthly follow-up of multiple subsidiaries and results analysis (fixed and variable costs, DSO, Capex, headcount, second choice stock, margins, discounts).
Prepare and develop the monitoring of consolidated operating expenses of Cartier (monthly follow-up, budget, ad-hoc analysis).
Take a lead in development of management reporting needs & tools.
Ad-hoc analysis for your regions (commission scheme, profitability…).
Other Responsibilities In collaboration with the team, prepare and participate to Cartier Finance presentations (International Executive Committee, World Meeting, Induction program, Budget meeting).
Support and coordinate the internal control culture and environment in the Maison.
Actively support the implementation of and compliance with all relevant Company Policies & Procedures and IAS Standards.
What Are We Looking For You have a Master’s Degree in Finance with at least 5-year experience in a multi-cultural, matrixed environment, ideally an FMCG or Audit multinational.
You have proven track record of managing, budgeting and reporting against a full P&L and balance sheet; Experience in owning a sizeable P&L; Demonstrated experience and success in managing the inter-relationship between management reporting and accounting and financial controls.
You are fully familiar and able to get the most out of query designers (SAP / SEM & BW, Hyperion / Essbase).
You have strong analytical skills on an internationally consolidated basis, from manufacturing to distribution, with the ability to put it into context of financial reporting needs.
You have a solid understanding of Management Accounting in the context of IFRS.
You possess business sense and synthesis skills in particularly complex business situations and environments.
You are proactive in bringing ideas and anticipating internal and external business issues that may impact organizational results.
You possess outstanding written and oral communication to help develop a close relationship with the region’s management to better understand business drivers through regular meetings.
You are fluent in English (spoken and written), French is an asset
